Stainless is sorted by grade before it is priced: 304 and 316 solids are kept apart, turnings are drained and packed separately, and mixed lots are declared as mixed.
Nickel and chromium content is confirmed by analysis at loading, so the buyer knows exactly what alloy value is on the vessel.

Each grade is kept as a separate stream from collection through to loading. Mixing grades is the fastest way to turn a good cargo into a discount.

Sheet, plate, pipe and fabrication offcuts in grade 304, free of contamination.

316 Solids
Molybdenum-bearing 316 solids, segregated from 304 and sold on confirmed analysis.

Stainless Turnings
Machine-shop turnings, drained of oil and packed in drums or bulk bags.

Mixed Stainless
Mixed austenitic and ferritic lots, declared as mixed and priced on analysis.
